Eucalyptus grove October wedding filled with smiles at Stemple Creek Ranch
Oh Erik and Jane, where to begin?! They got married at Stemple Creek Ranch up in Tomales and I think it’s one of my favorite Bay Area venues. It included a cute, but modern, barn house to get ready in, guests waling up to the eucalyptus grove for their ceremony, cocktail hour was accessorized with the big red barn and then their dinner and reception was inside said cozy barn. The wedding was in October and if you know the Bay Area, you know that’s the best month to get married because the weather is perfect! Warm, a little breezy, and the sunsets are unreal.
I had seen my fellow photographer friend Ryan photograph a wedding here and had photos of the couple standing on these small rock formations so I knew I had to ask him where there were. They’re perfectly placed along the open fields as you drive to the venue, so we snuck away in my car for a few sunset portraits on said rocks.
It’s always nice to take a quick break from the reception to really take each other in and process that you are MARRIED! And let’s be real, it’s nice to take a breather from talking to all your guests… just for a hot sec though! Don’t want to miss being able to say hi to the guests you invited and want to celebrate with so we were only gone for probably 10 minutes.
One thing that really stuck with me from their wedding is that Erik and Jane were so laid back on their wedding day and so present. It was such a joy to photograph their big smiles and all the excitement they had on their day. I hope you can tell with their photos! They also had a great dance party and rarely left the dance floor. It was so freaking fun!!
Also also, I am photographing Erik’s sisters wedding this year and I can’t wait to see E+J again and celebrate with the fam. It’s always such an honor to be chosen to photograph their siblings or friends weddings. Can’t wait Katie and Julian! :)
