Hi! Welcome to Chelsea Dier Photography or better known as the outdoor inspired wedding photographer. Along with photography, I love walks in my neighborhood and to our local coffee shop, blue skies & the beach, and cheeseburgers!

I am an observer, kinda hipster, outdoor inspired wedding photographer based in Oakland, CA. I am from the West Coast and could not imagine myself anywhere else. Being near the ocean and mountains makes my heart happy and keeps me sane. When I am not photographing weddings, I am thinking about where my next adventure will take me and where I should hike next! 

Whether we are hiking to your ceremony location or you’re getting married among the redwoods or somewhere International (I can dream!!), I want you to have the best damn time... all while I am capturing every bit of your day. Creating genuine, in the moment, photographs are my jam.

As your wedding photographer, I am there for you. With my focus being on serving you the best I can and your wedding day being yours, I am along to document and letting the moments happen. I’ll only give some guiding during portraits if you would like.

I want to make sure your timeline gives enough time for what is important to you. This can include enjoying time with your friends and family, having time to hang with your guests and enjoy your cocktail hour, quick portraits or minimal getting ready photos. I don’t have an agenda and I want you to only do what feels important and right to you two!

Your photographs from your wedding day are the only tangible memories you’ll have from your day, so let’s make sure your wedding day is fully represented in your gallery and tells the story from beginning to end and your photos are truly representative of you.

My goals as your photographer is to capture:

  • All the moments you’ve been dreaming and envisioning (and likely a lot of moments you won’t realize are happening — I am always moving so I can be sure to get those family hugs, cheers with friends, silly & sweet moments and everything between!)

  • Your family and friends presence — they’re just as important as you two!

  • You two being yourselves! Your wedding photos should reflect you.

  • The details of your day.

I want you to be able to be fully present on your wedding day and really enjoy all that you have planned!! Delivering you a gallery that will transport you back to all those moments will give you the reassurance that you can enjoy your wedding day. I am happy to share full galleries so please don’t hesitate to ask.
